Martin Mason and Duncan Irvine – A Note from the Directors

We opened Central Station as one of the few independent gay bars in the capital back in February, 1992, and are proud of the number of community groups formed in the venue and the many that have met here over the years, as well as the work we do in the LGBT and the local community. Always bringing innovation to the scene, as well as maintaining London's top cabaret line-up, we have loads more coming as King's Cross (Regent Quarter) develops in the next year – watch this space!

Matt Hopkins – General Manager

Hello, I am Matt, Central Station's General Manager. I have been in this role since May 2007 and bring many years of experience in the industry, having worked in gay venues since 1992.  These include The PennyFarthing in Hammersmith, The Two Brewers in Clapham, Rupert Street in Soho (all between 1992 & 1996) and more latterly as Assistant Manager at The Birdcage in Chiswick from 2001 to 2004.  I also bring a wealth of experience in food led business during my stay with the Whitbred Group between 2004 & 2007 as well as extensive management experience with Barclays Bank with particular relevance to Facilities Management.

I am passionate about Central Station as a venue within the gay scene in London and am continually excited about the variety of clubs and events we offer.  Moving forward, I am keen to promote the changes we have planned for the venue and truly believe that we can secure our future as London's most diverse Pub/Club, offering something for everyone.

Watch this space for the exciting changes in 2008 and pop in and say hello sometime.  You will also find me out and about on the scene from time to time, so again, please say "hello".

Phil Harrison - Manager

Hi, I’m Phil, I’ve been at Central Station since August 2004.  I started working as a barman which was a great opportunity to see the wide selection of cabaret and clubs that happen at “Central”.  I joined the management team in April 2007 and have been enjoying every minute of it.  Central Station is a great place, open to everyone and offering something for every taste and I’m proud to be a part of it.

Come and say hello to me next time you are in!

Phil xx
